After more than a year...

*meow*

My little pretties:
Due to forces beyond my control, I've been forced to close my blog. Adieu.

Well here's a picture that pretty much sums up the past few months:

Don't you just love Squidward Tentacles? He's Spongebob's antithesis. He embodies every adult's worst features: dislike of job, unsuccessfulness at attempts to be something else, grouchiness, frustration and discontent. He's smart and he's unique, but since the citizens of Bikini Bottom are complete idiots, Squidward isn't getting the attention and success he deserves. He's like the people who want to make a change but can't because the world is so uncooperative. We all have a Squidward inside us. ^_^

My Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire Movie Review

Do not be fooled by the title. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is not about Harry Potter taking part in the Tri-Wizard tournament, but is, in fact, about a hot Hogwarts student named Cedric Diggory.

The three previous installments of Harry Potter were simply introductions - short backgrounds - to characters who would appear in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Headmaster Dumbledore, Snape, McGonagall - adults who at one point in their lives were lucky enough to may have taught Cedric Diggory; Hermione - the love interest of Cedric's fellow tourney participant, Viktor Krum; Ron Weasley - Hermione's friend; Lord Voldemort - the evil wizard who just makes everybody's life a living hell; and of course, Harry Potter - the young wizard who's actions brought about Cedric's most heroic (albeit fatal) moment.

So, who is this Cedric Diggory? What kind of son was he? What was he doing there at Hogwarts? What made him stand apart from his fellow students? What kind of charm did he posses that made Cho Chang go with him to the Yuletide Ball? What driving force for fame and glory did he posses that he just had to touch that stupid glowing cup in the middle of the hedge maze? Why did the director prefer to show Harry Potter rather than Cedric Diggory half naked in a bubble bath? *drools*

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is naturally, required viewing for everyone. The story isn't bad, although I'm disappointed with the price Cedric had to pay for his heroism. The cast in this movie isn't as phenomenal as The Prisoner of Azkaban's: Gary Oldman + Emma Thompson is so much greater than Miranda Richarson + Ralph Fiennes minus the nose. The sounds and the cinematography could have been better though. But the effects, the direction, and all other elements of the movie were beautifully combined and fabricated into a movie that maximized Cedric's best angles and naturally rosy cheeks.

Again, let me reiterate. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is not about the Harry Potter. It is about Cedric Diggory, a smart and dedicated student from Hogwarts who will forever be remembered for his heroism. A man whose crowning moment was when he tried to save the accident prone Harry Potter from Lord Voldemort and Wormtail (okay, I may have modified this part a bit). A man whose death will forever be a great loss to the world.

Harharhar. Okay, I really wanted to write a decent review for this movie because the first few hours turned out really well, but at the moment that Cedric Diggory died, all I could focus on was what a depressingly big loss that was. I literally went through the 4 stages of loss when he died - it wasn't until the credits started rolling that I stopped asking, "hey, they're wizards... they can make him alive again, right? Right? Anytime soon..." And it wasn't until three hours later when I already home that I paused eating, looked at my half-eaten chicken sadly, and sighed, "Cedric's dead."

Excuse me while I go sulk under my teddy bear blanket now.
