4 Things I’ve Learned from Riding the LRT/MRT

1. There Will Always Be People That Will Prevent You From Getting Your Way. No matter how near your goal seems, you always have to go through a lot of obstacles: people and their baggage. Be careful not to step on any toes, because doing so only fuels a person’s resolve to prevent you from passing through. Proper footwork and learning to dodge in and out of their way is the only way you can reach your goal.

2. Being Nice Doesn’t Always Pay Off. No matter how many times you say, “Excuse me, excuse me” not everyone will pay attention. They will keep their stance and won’t budge. Not everyone has a good side you can appease to.

3. Good Deeds Kick Ass. This is somewhat contradictory to the previous statement, but there are times when you’ll get more by giving something up. If you’re sitting down while a pregnant woman or an elderly person is standing up, be nice enough to let them sit instead. Not only will standing up get your nearer to the aircon, a sincere “Thank You” is enough to make your day.

4. Be Patient. What they say about opportunity knocking only once isn’t true. Sometimes letting something pass you by will pave a way for other opportunities to come along. If you’re not in a rush, wait. Save yourself the pain and aggravation of hitching the first thing that comes your way. Something else will come, don't worry (unless of course, that was the 9PM train, which, in that case, you'd better run and catch it! Ü).

agree.. but its always nice to be polite no matter what the results of those virtues are. virtues are its own rewards. but overall, i enjoy the MRT. but not the LRT. its a cattle car actually.
